When I visited some renowned waterfalls in April in South Africa I was disappointed if I’m being honest.

Later our guide explained that as there hadn’t been much rain recently it wasn’t the best time of year to see the falls. Is there a peak season for seeing Iguazu at their most dramatic?

In reply to Chris H. Hi Chris, Many yachts do offer lower off-season charter rates or last minute discounts. It is always best to speak to your broker and ask directly, as the special rates might not always be advertised.

Board walks are good news. My knees are worn out and walking through slippery, slushy forest walkways really is the last thing I need. Board walks are a big selling point for me.

In reply to Tim. Nayara Alto Atacama makes the point that you don’t need too much fancy design going on when all you need is ginormous picture windows to se the stunning location as the main attraction. The Atacama Desert is one of the easier places on the planet to be an architect.

I think I read a similar piece recently on ALTB which was essentially a beginners’ guide to yacht charter.

I’m not complaining, in fact I’m giving thanks. If you’ve never chartered a yacht before it can be a minefield for beginners. The more advice that’s dished out, the better.

Some very impressive architecture with the hotels. Contemporary looking but not too intrusive on the environment.
